“I was creating another excuse to just not do the thing and do the work. So I decided to stop just to give myself the confidence in my own abilities.”

“So there's no— there's no like— they haven't found you, they haven't connected with you, there's no emotional attachment. It's literally just they're swiping on story.”
Ep 565▶ 20:06
“But I feel like, yeah, if I'm trying to create a community and people are talking to me and I'm not answering, then like, what the fuck What the fuck am I doing?”

Lucy’s advice on the show

How do I choose a business coach that's right for me?

Determine what you want to get out of it before going in, how you'll show up, and find someone whose personality you mesh well with and whose history or achievements make them a credible role model.

Why should I build an email list instead of just relying on social media followers?

Build an email list because you fully own and control it, unlike social platforms where algorithms change, you could get hacked, or platforms may eventually charge businesses to reach their audience.

How do I start charging for something I've given away for free?

Accept the transition will be harder because your audience is conditioned to free content; focus on long-term value over short-term gain, and use social proof (showing others signing up) to build confidence in new subscribers.

How do I grow my social media following organically?

Show up consistently with good content (entertaining, inspiring, or educating), post stories daily, and engage by commenting back with your audience.
