At a glance

From this episode’s transcript.

  • –The crew began their 24-hour livestream around 4am with minimal preparation (no proper coffee, rushed showers, improvised meals like porridge for sustained energy).
  • –Logistics were a major early focus: Ramble Campbell's marathon merch delivery run and a DHL shipping error involving duplicate stickers on one order.
  • –Gemma Watts surprised the team with a skincare collaboration (Mecca Cosmetica x Glow Journal) and committed to walking them through an at-home facial whenever called, including lymphatic drainage tips.
  • –Josh and Tommy disagreed over whether Josh should keep a Saturday trivia night commitment made before the 24-hour stream was planned, with Tommy urging him to cancel and rest.
  • –The team joked about inflating job titles (George Martin settling on ideas like 'senior video storyteller') after Josh recounted research/anecdote that using a nickname in email sign-offs can correlate with higher pay.

Questions this episode answers

What happened in the first hour of The Daily Talk Show's 24-hour livestream?

Josh, Tommy, George Martin, Mason Lauder and Jess Lucas covered their early morning routines, tested Zoom/YouTube delays, checked in on merchandise delivery and a marathon walker, and previewed guests including Brad Blanks, Savvy Dietitian, and a midday meditation session.

Who delivered merchandise during the livestream and what went wrong?

Team member Ramble Campbell drove around Melbourne delivering the last of the merch orders; separately, a DHL shipping error meant one tracking number covered what should have been two separate packages with duplicate stickers, requiring a trace.

What surprise did Gemma Watts bring to the show?

Gemma Watts arrived with a Mecca Cosmetica and Glow Journal "Daily Talk Show" skincare edit (hand sanitiser, mist, eye masks, face masks, clay mask, essential oil roller) and promised to video-call in anytime to walk the hosts through an at-home facial and lymphatic drainage.

Josh: It's The Daily Talk Show, episode 24-hour livestream.

0:11

Tommy: Yes, we made it, guys! How are we? What's happening? What's going on? How are we feeling?

0:19

Josh: Very good, very good.

0:20

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, we're—

0:22

Josh: woke up at 4 AM.

0:24

Tommy: 4 AM? Did you actually start doing yourself at 4 AM, or you just Woke up in bed at 4 AM.

0:30

Josh: I was in bed when I woke up. Yeah, but I got up at 4:15. No, but everyone turn your headphones down a little bit. No, I went straight. I, um, well, the thing is I hadn't sort of allowed for sort of going to the bathroom and showering and all that sort of thing. So it was sort of a good opportunity to do that.

0:45

Tommy: No, I have.

0:45

Jess: Yeah.

0:46

Tommy: Okay, good.

0:47

Mason: How long of a shower did you have?

0:49

Josh: Pretty quick, I reckon.

0:51

Tommy: Really, mate? Just a quickie? Sevs, you like a good 30-minuter. Did you find 30 minutes this morning?

0:58

Mason: I definitely— I blew out on the shower this morning. It would have been about 25 minutes.

1:03

Josh: Oh, that's outrageous.

1:04

Tommy: 25 minutes? Does your hot water even last for the next couple of people?

1:09

Mason: Yeah. Oh, well, not my problem.

1:13

Josh: That is so, so funny.

1:17

Tommy: Um, George, you've been up since 4 AM, you absolute animal. What's been happening?

1:21

George: I knew this would happen. I was, um, I just woke up randomly and then just was just my brain was just ticking and I was like, fuck, trying to go back to sleep. Just had my eyes closed, but oh well, what are you gonna do?

1:34

Josh: It feels like that early morning flight, doesn't it? Have we got our fucking passports? I feel like I don't want to fucking shit on the plane, but you know what, like I haven't been able to get a proper one out yet.

1:45

Tommy: And it's a nightmare. Has anyone had coffee?

1:47

Mason: Oh, so you haven't gone yet?

1:48

Josh: Well, I went, but I was just like, that's gonna do me for 24 hours? That? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1:56

Mason: No, I feel you.

1:58

Tommy: Has anyone had coffee yet? I know you don't have to answer, Seb, because I know the answer.

2:03

Josh: No, I haven't had anyone.

2:05

Tommy: No, no, it's good.

2:06

George: I've had my Monster. I think not the coffee.

2:08

Tommy: No way, George!

2:09

Josh: No, have you already had your Monster? Oh man, okay.

2:13

Tommy: I was gonna call a paramedic.

2:14

Josh: Yeah, you're an absolute animal if you did that.

2:16

Tommy: A few things that we just need to cheque in on, uh, Ryan John, 9 AM, he's starting his marathon walk. Uh, Ramble Campbell's going to be starting his marathon, his marathon drive. He'll be definitely racking up over 42k today delivering the last bits of merch. Um, is Ramble at the office, George?

2:36

George: No, he hasn't arrived yet.

2:37

Josh: Uh-oh.

2:39

Tommy: Yeah, he's also—

2:40

George: I think you'll hear some—

2:41

Josh: will we be that clear? I don't know if we're that clear. How's that? Can everyone turn their headphones down a little bit so they're just a little bit of that echo? Um, yeah, what's happening in the YouTube comments, Sims?

2:53

Mason: Well, I mean, um, everyone's, everyone's pretty pumped. Whitey says morning, guys. Uh, Lara says pumped. Ben says morning. Brain Man says morning.

3:05

Tommy: Everyone's pumped pretty much. We could, we could assume that most people are going to say morning, Sims, from what you're saying.

3:09

Mason: Well, I mean, look, H— yeah, HB is saying TJ is looking pretty fresh, so I don't know what that means for the rest of us, but No, do you know what it might be?

3:17

Tommy: I shaved last night and I've got lip balm on, so I feel fresh. I always— when I go on—

3:23

Josh: if that echo was me, sorry guys.

3:25

Tommy: When I go on a flight—

3:26

George: yeah, you figured.

3:29

Tommy: I know that Gemma Watts is going to be absolute ripe, ripeable, but I've just got some pawpaw cream. I just need to keep my lips moistured.

3:37

George: What's wrong with pawpaw cream? Does she not like it?

3:39

Tommy: I don't know, mate. The haters always come out like, nah, it's got—

3:43

Josh: what is it called? Gelatin or something.

3:44

Tommy: That's Oh mate, yeah, I've got a big bottle of water and I'm ready to go. I've only had a cup of tea, so I don't know.

3:53

Mason: Has anyone had any food yet?

3:56

Josh: Yeah, no, it's eaten already.

3:59

Tommy: Yeah, I had porridge. No, you know, that slow release, just get that sort of carb hit that will sort of see me across the next sort of couple hours. We haven't even worked out food. I don't know what's bloody happening.

4:11

Mason: Well, I was sort of, um, interested, so I downloaded a calorie tracking app because I want to see how much I'm going to eat over the 24-hour period.

4:20

Josh: Yeah, you've got bigger problems than that.

4:25

Mason: Really?

4:26

Josh: Yeah, calories is not your problem today, you know.

4:29

Mason: Well, I just, I just, I just thought it'd be interesting. Um, anyway, so I've had a banana this morning and that's logged in, so Well, should we—

4:38

Josh: so we've got the 24-hour commitment crew. Should we cut to them? Should we see how the 24-hour commitment crew is going? Okay, here we go. I'm cutting to them now.

4:48

Tommy: I haven't been across this. Okay, here we go.

4:50

Josh: So I've set up— all right, give me a second, guys, before I actually get you on.

4:54

Tommy: He's rambling, he's running his head.

4:57

Josh: Oh my God. I'm just going to turn your audio on in a second, guys. Okay, here we go. So, uh, who have we got? We've got Glyn. Glyn, yeah, can we just talk to you for a second, mate? Can you actually hear us? There's probably going to be a delay. Yeah, I just need to— do I need to unmute you? Oh, hang on, I'll unmute you. Um, you're gonna have to give me—

5:20

Unknown: hey man, how are you?

5:21

Josh: Good, how are you?

5:23

Unknown: Not too bad, just trying to figure out the, uh, the audio here between Zoom and YouTube.

5:28

Josh: How's the, um, is there much of a delay between YouTube and Zoom?

5:32

Unknown: Maybe 5, 10 seconds or so. So I think if you go to cut to any— if you go to talk to anybody, give them a little bit of warning if they're watching the YouTube, and then they can, uh, switch their sound around real quick.

5:45

Josh: I know, I appreciate that. Is this— I mean, you do streaming and stuff and like, you know, all this sort of area. Is this— seeing us sort of flail and struggle, is this triggering you or are you enjoying it?

5:57

Unknown: It looks awesome so far.

5:58

Josh: Okay, great. All right, thanks.

6:01

Unknown: It's early days though. It's really—

6:04

Josh: it is really early days. I mean, I haven't— we still need to— we'll, we'll cut to the, to the Zoom.

6:10

Unknown: I sent you guys a message. You're gonna crush it.

6:12

Josh: Okay, I appreciate it. Thank you, Glenn. I just need to know how to mute you now. Hang on. There we go. Okay, perfect.

6:18

Tommy: Um, I did see it's, uh, looking likely Ramble is in his car, so he must be on his way.

6:23

Josh: How do you mean it's looking likely?

6:25

Tommy: Because he's in the Zoom call, he's in the commitment. What an absolute animal. He's in the car.

6:30

Josh: I appreciate that, that's very good. Um, yeah, what, what are you guys worried about at the moment? What sort of— not to get too negative—

6:40

Tommy: when I put my headphones on this morning for the first time and there was no audio coming through, it's, it's like when if you hold your— if you put your fingers in your ears you can feel your heartbeat. And it was— don't— I, if I had a Whoop on, I reckon it wouldn't— it would have been not my average heartbeat. It was slightly higher. So, but I think that's just the adrenaline. I think it's going to wear off. Like, I think that will subside and we're going to find some rhythm because we've got some awesome people. Should we just talk about who we've got coming on this morning?

7:10

Josh: So we've got— you can, you can tease it.

7:12

Tommy: Yeah.

7:13

Josh: Yeah.

7:13

Tommy: So we got a surprise. At 8:30. Josh, it's for you, and I'm very excited about this one. Um, Brad Blanks is coming on in 50 minutes.

7:26

Josh: I should send him a link, shouldn't I?

7:28

Tommy: Yeah, you should send him a link. And then we got Ryan John at 9 AM who's going to be starting his walk. And then we've got a dietitian, which—

7:38

Josh: Savvy dietitian. I mean, this will be perfect for you, Sevs, with the calorie thing. I wonder what she thinks of you counting calories on a day like today.

7:47

Tommy: Yeah, it's also what— well, what are we going to— like, what—

7:51

G: I'll be back.

7:51

Tommy: What's going to really throw us off? Georgie's going to get rambled. But yeah, so with Savvy Dietitian, she's got one of the best Instagram pages, uh, going. It's awesome. She's got over 100K followers. Like, it's, it's just blown up. She does like comparison side by side between food. It's, it's almost— it's just like, it's kind of It's like porn, you know.

8:12

Josh: If you had to create like an Instagram account, uh, nowadays where you sort of specialize, it was a bit of a niche, what would you do, do you think, if it had to be as specific as like— oh, g'day, Ramble.

8:23

Tommy: Um, oh, I don't know, I've got no skill, you know, outside of— actually got no skill, what am I saying?

8:32

Josh: You could do something like, what about like you take photos?

8:35

George: Hang on, I'm going to mute us while Ramble talks to me.

8:41

Josh: Love it.

8:43

Mason: Um, I think there'd be something fun in like, um, I mean, there's a, there's a website called Product Hunt, but I think what I'd do is an Instagram account of all the apps. Each post would be an app that you use. And so like, you know, you'd have like Basecamp or you've had, you'd have like, yeah, all your different browsers and different software that you can use. I think that'd be fun.

9:05

George: Yeah.

9:05

Tommy: Well, um, the Savvy Dietitian, she's a dietitian, so it's like it's perfect because it's just linked to something that she does as a profession. So yeah, I don't know what I'd— it'd end up just being something that I like, but then I wouldn't stick at it, you know. It's one of those—

9:20

Josh: are you laughing, Seth? Because I'm trying to centre my face. Is that what— what's your—

9:24

Mason: no, no, I was, I was, I was laughing because you looked pretty just happy with yourself cutting to the 3, which—

9:29

Josh: yeah, I mean, I didn't know if it was gonna work, but it's—

9:31

Mason: I know it's great. No, I think, I think you've, you've done a real solid job. Setting all the, um, the tech up, and I really appreciate it.

9:38

Josh: So, oh, thank you. Oh geez, we're doing thank yous already, you know. Already.

9:41

Tommy: Absolutely, absolutely. And then we've got, um, we've got Jason PJ on the show. Yes. And that's going to be around 10:30, which they're sort of, you know, they've done this a bunch of times. So we'll just sort of take these, these morning hours quite steady and slow, and then we're gonna have a meditation session, um, middle of the day to reset, which is It's going to be good because I need to— there's one thing I can't not get in today, and that's within the 24 hours I need to at least have one meditation session. So you guys, you go for, uh, be 10 minutes.

10:13

Josh: Okay, great. That's fine.

10:15

Tommy: Longer.

10:16

Mason: That's good.

10:16

Tommy: She might take it longer. So yeah, that's going to be a guided meditation for you babies.

10:20

Josh: Is it too much to ask? Because I actually haven't had a wee since I sat down. Is it okay if I just quickly go away? I know it's very early on.

10:28

Mason: No, that's, that's right. I mean, I mean, it's going to happen multiple times anyway.

10:32

Josh: Oh, there you go. Impressed in that, Sebbs? This is like that. I've switched to a two-shot.

10:36

Mason: That's very nice.

10:38

Josh: I'll mute my mic.

10:39

George: Okay, great.

10:40

Tommy: Switched to a two-shot. There he is. It's the Sebbs and Tommy show. How are you, baby?

10:46

Mason: Yeah, good. You were FaceTiming me in bed last night. You looked, you looked like you, uh, got to bed all right. Had a good sleep?

10:52

Tommy: Yeah, I struggled to get to sleep. I think I was just a bit wide, and then I woke up. Oh my God, I dreamt about— I think I dreamt about doing the show. And so then I— yeah, it was bizarre. Then I woke up and I was like, oh fuck, I feel like I've already done it because I dreamt about how it went, but I can't remember what happened. Anyway, dreams.

11:16

Mason: I mean, okay, well, I was just about to go into that, but that's, that's it. I'll just, I'll just give you a quick rundown. We were having a house share and it was all of us and and Josh wanted all everyone to be in this one long room, and it was a mansion. Like, it was a real nice house, and we were paying $200 a week. But that was, um, and we, we were on, we were on PayPal's website because apparently they have great rules around, um, work, uh, living with your co-workers. So they had a great document that we were going to implement all their strategies.

11:46

Tommy: Sevs, if you, um, just while Josh is gone, if you had to choose to live with either Josh or myself Who would you, who would you pick?

11:55

Mason: Oh, it's just—

11:56

Josh: you're talking about me, I think.

11:58

Mason: I mean, sleeping would be an absolute nightmare with, um, Josh in the same room.

12:03

Josh: It'd be sleep— I know, we enjoy sleeping. Bodhi's first appearance on the—

12:07

Tommy: yeah, come on, come on, see the Gronks and say happy 24 hours!

12:15

Josh: Oh yeah! Oh, hey Bodhi!

12:20

H: Ah!

12:21

Jess: Happy birthday!

12:25

George: Oh, thanks!

12:26

Jess: Me too! Hey, Bodie!

12:28

Tommy: Can I have a kiss? Can I have a kiss, please? All right, I love you. Oh geez, say good luck, boys! Good luck, boys!

12:41

Josh: Oh, here we go, he's grabbing the headphones. Hey, Bodie boy!

12:46

Mason: Hey, monkey!

12:48

Jess: Hello, cheeky monkey.

12:49

Josh: Ah, cheeky monkey.

12:52

Jess: Hi, cheeky monkey.

12:55

Josh: Oh yeah, what are you doing today?

12:59

Jess: Hi, cheeky monkey.

13:01

Josh: Oh yeah, what are you doing today? What are you doing today?

13:07

Jess: Ready? Thank you.

13:15

George: Bye bye bye.

13:19

G: I will just—

13:20

Mason: has anyone thought through like tissues or anything like that? I'm just thinking like, you're just blowing your nose. I, I mean, I had this morning. Yeah, I did.

13:28

Josh: Whose alarm is that? Who's alive?

13:30

Mason: Is that a backup alarm?

13:31

Tommy: That's Amy's.

13:32

Josh: Okay, that's Amy's alarm.

13:34

Tommy: Um, sorry, I just— we got sidetracked. Just straight down the line answer.

13:40

Mason: Who would it be? Oh, look, I mean, probably, probably Tommy, because my sleep is precious.

13:48

Josh: Your sleep's precious? You've been going to bed at 4 AM.

13:52

Mason: Yeah, but that's better than playing music. I mean, playing, playing— what is his name? Ryan, Ryan, Ryan Holiday.

14:00

Josh: Ego is the Enemy. You should listen to it.

14:02

Mason: Yeah, yeah.

14:03

Tommy: Um, yeah, good one. Thanks, Seb.

14:08

Josh: George. I mean, George is looking very busy. George.

14:11

George: Yeah, I'm just—

14:12

Unknown: Are you okay?

14:12

George: Bramble's asking me if we have any tape, and I said, don't know, but maybe look upstairs.

14:16

Josh: Gaffer tape?

14:17

Tommy: Yes, there is. Upstairs. There's tape upstairs.

14:21

George: Yeah.

14:22

Tommy: Yeah.

14:22

Josh: So, what have you packed? Because you're sleeping at the office. What have you got?

14:27

George: Yeah, so I've just got a blanket. A pillow, toiletries, and a towel.

14:35

G: Right.

14:36

Josh: And are you gonna have a shower during— are you gonna have a shower?

14:38

George: I'm thinking maybe I should.

14:40

Mason: Yeah, that's a great idea.

14:42

Josh: Yeah, I wouldn't have thought about that. That's a good idea though, isn't it?

14:45

George: Yeah. So that's, that's the plan.

14:49

Jess: Yeah. Um, yeah.

14:50

Mason: How you feeling?

14:53

George: Uh, pretty good. I'm just a bit anxious about like the next few days.

14:59

Josh: Yeah, because it's sort of that your, your work actually picks up after this. Yeah, it's like all on you.

15:07

George: Yeah, but, um, that should be good. I'm excited. That's good.

15:13

Tommy: Can we just, guys, get some predictions on how long we will sleep for? Say if we all get to bed at 8 AM tomorrow morning That's more than 24 hours. I reckon it'll be—

15:25

George: I reckon it'll be short. It'll be so annoying. Wake up, wake back up at like 12 or something.

15:31

Josh: We'll want to watch back all the highlights, you know. Enjoy, enjoy them, enjoy the moment.

15:37

Mason: We've got to reshare everyone's Insta stories, you know.

15:40

Josh: Yeah, you might have actually got trivia night on Saturday night with Jordan Michaelides. I committed to that. Do you? For the 24-hour stream.

15:46

Jess: Did you?

15:47

Mason: Yeah, you might have to cancel that.

15:50

Tommy: Well, you're cancelling that.

15:51

Josh: No, I'm actually not cancelling it because he asked me. He front-footed it. You know when someone sees that you're busy or something and then front-foots like, hey, we still on? And then me being the pushback guy's like, yeah, we fucking are still on. Why don't you ask me?

16:05

Tommy: Of course, your serotonin, like, you will— you'll be a shell of a human at that, and you'll be— oh, you'll be on edge, bro. Don't do it. You can take a break. Just, just take a break. Just chill, watch a movie, eat some food, and go to bed.

16:23

Mason: Yeah, I mean, Shannon's saying, why would you commit to that, JJ?

16:26

Josh: Yeah, he's an animal.

16:28

Mason: I mean, I just pushed back.

16:29

Josh: It was, yeah, it was, it was before, before the whole, you know, 24-hour thing.

16:34

Tommy: I think, I think, uh, you owe it to yourself to just have a night in with a bit of a chill. Night in with Bree.

16:41

Josh: She's gonna be at trivia.

16:44

Tommy: Bree. Yeah, but it's not a night in if you've got Jordan Michaelides there. It doesn't have the same— no, same as you and just Brisa. Yeah, I guess it is in— I was convinced that it was in person for some reason.

16:58

Josh: Really? Oh, you just—

16:59

Tommy: yeah, yeah, for some reason I was, I was living—

17:01

Josh: there's no big trivia, there's no big events happening at the moment.

17:05

Tommy: Yeah, yeah. Um, anyway, you've actually managed to You've managed to organise something. I saw in the run sheet that it's locked in.

17:16

George: It's locked in. Um, I'm actually still replying to her because she's asking for, um, background information on you guys.

17:25

Unknown: Oh, really?

17:26

George: Key talking points will be.

17:27

Josh: Uh-oh.

17:28

George: So I just took a screenshot of the setup. I'm gonna say, you know, Tommy's at the top left, Josh is at the top right, Miss 97's at the bottom right. And she said, what, uh, what is this?

17:40

Josh: Is the manager?

17:42

George: This is the manager.

17:43

Josh: Okay.

17:44

George: Yeah. A back— uh, can you supply me any background info on the host? Just a line or two.

17:50

Josh: Oh yeah.

17:50

Tommy: Yeah, great.

17:51

Josh: So should we try and generate that now for you?

17:53

George: I mean, yeah, yeah, that'd be good. And then she said, what, what are the key talking points? What have you been up to in isolation? What, what are you currently working on? That type of thing.

18:05

Josh: I love George. Yeah, that's great, George.

18:10

George: No, no, no, that's what she wrote to me.

18:12

Josh: Oh, that's what she wrote?

18:13

George: Oh, that's what she's asking for.

18:14

Josh: Oh, that's perfect. No, just say yeah.

18:16

Tommy: Yeah, great.

18:18

Josh: Yeah, that's more than great.

18:19

Tommy: She's great. She's great. I want her on our date.

18:22

George: Yeah, no, no, no, I don't think you understand. She's asking me to say this about you guys. So she can get ready.

18:29

Josh: She wants to know what I've been doing in isolation. Yeah, yeah, really?

18:34

Tommy: Oh, George, you don't have much sleep, have you?

18:37

George: What are the key— Oh, maybe—

18:40

Mason: No, no, no, no, no, that's— No, no, she's giving you the talking points, I reckon.

18:44

Josh: Yeah.

18:44

George: Ah, I was going to answer like, oh, we've been making this podcast.

18:49

Josh: The interview's not with you, George.

18:52

Mason: Oh no, George, what was that second one?

18:56

George: What have you been up to in isolation? What are you currently working on? What are you currently working on?

19:02

Tommy: Please respond! Update replays every Wednesday. Currently ending a bit of client work for the boys.

19:12

George: Right, so all she's asking is background info. Okay, well, I'm glad I brought this up because I would have replied with like an essay about what we've been doing.

19:21

Josh: It's a nightmare. I mean, it's easy to happen. It's like when we had— when we spoke to Bearded Fan, he asked if we could have a Zoom call. He's in South Africa, he's got a podcast. And, um, the missing bit was I thought that he— we were on his podcast when we're recording. And so we said things like, uh, thanks for having us. And like, we, we recorded it.

19:43

Mason: Find us at thedailytalkshow.com.

19:46

Josh: And then he emailed, goes, hey, I think there's a bit of confusion. I just want to talk about podcasting, not have you on the podcast. I felt like such an arrogant prick because I would essentially like Yeah, it wasn't in the conversation that we worked that out.

20:00

Tommy: It was post, and he'd listened back to our conversation where we referenced that we're on his podcast or something.

20:06

Unknown: Yeah.

20:06

Josh: Oh dude, it's, it's, it's a little bit—

20:09

Tommy: I mean, like, looking over— I mean, when you got lots of shit going on, just like skimming emails and stuff, it's bound to happen. Yeah, it's bound to happen. Yeah, I wonder if it's happened like on—

20:19

George: I just skimmed it then.

20:20

Tommy: Someone— yeah, like dates, like someone has thought they were on a date, but they were just catching up with a mate. What's the difference? I guess like, yeah, well, yeah, I don't know, but like, once, you know, think you're, you're going in thinking, oh, this, it could become something. I guess it's like a, um, catching up with a mate who ends up being in network marketing and they're pitching you.

20:43

Josh: Yeah, sure.

20:44

Tommy: So it's like a business meeting that you didn't want to have. That happened. My friend went to one, and he had a, uh, he, he knows this guy and actually know this guy too, and it seems so out of character for this dude, but he rocked up and he looked down because this guy was at the cafe first, looks down, sees the bag of like whatever, Nutrogenics or some bullshit name, and he just says—

21:08

Josh: it sounds real— Nutrogenics, is that a thing?

21:11

Tommy: Yeah, it sounds— I think it might be a thing. He looks down and looks at him and says, you're not doing this, are you, mate? And he just looked really defeated and said, yeah, sorry, mate. And then they had a coffee, but they had a normal coffee.

21:24

Josh: Anyway, I've already had a, I've already had a compliment this morning, uh, on my new pants.

21:31

Mason: Really?

21:32

Josh: Yeah. Are you wearing, are you wearing your Cotton On little, little numbers?

21:39

Mason: Oh great, yeah, look at that.

21:42

Tommy: I will just—

21:43

Josh: they've got like a really nice, like, I've, I normally, um Like, uh, I've always admired people that they have like a little bit of a— what's it like that you can see the ankle?

21:53

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, it's the thing.

21:54

Josh: I'll show you, watch.

21:56

Tommy: Yeah, it's a cuffed—

21:58

Mason: what is it, cuffed hem or something like that?

21:59

George: Oh yeah, oh yeah, they're almost there.

22:02

Mason: They're looking right.

22:03

Tommy: Well, I mean, I was— I'm— I just was glad that you've got rid of those other things that you wear. These are like dad, dad trackies.

22:11

Josh: These are fancy trackies. Okay, sort of.

22:14

Mason: Your trackies are now cuffed. You've— they've actually— they're actually on your ankles. Like, it's—

22:20

Tommy: that's fashionable. Josh, this is where— this is where good shoes, like, other than Asics, start to sort of play their part.

22:26

Josh: I know you don't like them, and you wear some Vans or something with it, maybe.

22:31

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

22:32

Josh: It's worried about my—

22:32

Tommy: this is where— yeah.

22:34

Josh: Is anyone wearing shoes right now, guys?

22:36

Tommy: Like, I'll show you.

22:37

George: I'll do—

22:38

Tommy: I get up here.

22:39

George: I'm wearing shoes and jeans.

22:39

Tommy: I fucked up. I've got jeans on.

22:42

Josh: Oh, this is how George did it. Did you?

22:45

Mason: Jesus. Oh my God. Oh my God.

22:49

Josh: Oh, that's moccasins. Very good. Here we go. Okay, George is getting up. George, what are you about to show us? Oh yeah, they're comfy.

23:00

George: I'm not very flexible. So yeah, right.

23:03

Tommy: I mean, Georgie boy and I have gone jeans. You mean trackies?

23:07

Mason: What's ramp? Okay, here we go.

23:09

Josh: Oh, they're good.

23:10

Mason: Oh, that's great. That's great.

23:12

Tommy: What are they? Just some sort of like—

23:14

Josh: can we—

23:15

Mason: George, can you put—

23:16

Josh: how's he going?

23:17

Mason: A second.

23:17

George: Yeah, yeah, I don't want to talk to you.

23:20

Tommy: Yeah, great.

23:21

Josh: Here we go.

23:23

G: Morning, lads. How's it going?

23:24

Josh: Hey, Rambo.

23:25

Tommy: Hey, Rams.

23:26

Unknown: How you feeling?

23:27

G: Yeah, we a bit tired, but I'm all right. I'm sure you guys are much more tired by this time tomorrow.

23:34

Josh: I don't know, how many deliveries are you doing?

23:36

G: Yeah, that's a good question actually.

23:39

Tommy: Yeah, have you looked through them all?

23:44

G: Yeah, no, I'm sorting them now and, uh, packing them into their little areas. It shouldn't be too bad though. Um, there's just a few that don't have notes and stickers, so I'm gonna chuck some in.

23:53

Mason: No, no, no, they definitely— no, no, no, they're on the inside. They're actually—

23:58

Tommy: I've packed all—

23:58

Mason: I've already done it. They're all sorted. All of them have notes in them. If you just unfold the, um, the jumper, you'll be able to see.

24:04

G: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, because the ones for like, um, Easter—

24:09

Tommy: sorry guys, I've got Gemma Watts on, on her FaceTime right now.

24:13

Josh: Oh, here we go. She's currently— is she outside the house?

24:17

Tommy: She's out the front of my house.

24:19

Josh: Oh, this is great.

24:21

Tommy: All right, I'm gonna go get Gemma Watts.

24:23

Josh: All right, this is perfect.

24:25

Mason: So, so, Ramble, It's classic, just not even.

24:30

Josh: Ramble, you there, mate?

24:32

G: Sorry.

24:33

Josh: Yeah, were you gonna say something, Seth?

24:36

Mason: Well, no, I was just gonna say, so we, we got a couple of, um, emails last night just around all the, um, deliveries of merch. Uh, Ramble, what's, what's happening today?

24:47

G: Uh, yeah, so today I'm just finishing them off and, um, putting them into like the further out areas, so We've got like Sylvan. I do have to drop into Albert Park, so that's not far, but like Bayside as well. Um, gee, what else? I think that that's all I can remember. There's just a few around the city, and then there's a couple in Croydon.

25:08

Josh: I also love that— okay, we've got to get Gemma. Gemma, here we go, wearing the hoodie. Okay, here we go.

25:15

Tommy: If you heard a bang, it was because Gemma's flask, it came out of her back pocket.

25:21

Josh: Good morning, babies. Good day, Gemma. Hi, Gems.

25:27

H: Okay, surprise time.

25:29

Josh: Oh, this is—

25:30

Mason: here we go.

25:31

H: You have to listen. Okay, so I was thinking about like, how can I make the show about me? Um, and then I was thinking about my favourite moments from the last 700+ episodes, and I loved how, um, like the novelty of when I called in a favour from Rach, 'cause I feel like that was the first time you guys saw me in like beauty work mode. So I thought, okay, well, how can I call in another beauty favour today? Then I was thinking about how pumped Sev's was when I dropped off his stuff last week. So then I spoke to my friends at Mecca and we have put our heads together and curated the Mecca Cosmetica and Glow Journal Daily talk show edit.

26:17

Josh: Oh, this is great.

26:18

H: Getting a knock at the door in the next little bit.

26:22

Josh: Do I have to go down the lift or will they— will they come all the way up?

26:25

H: No, it's, it's me, so it depends.

26:27

Josh: Like, do you want to see? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd love you to come up.

26:30

H: This is like when you're like, oh, I'd love for you to come on the show in the morning. I was like, I've got stuff to do. So in here is— we've got things from our friends at Mecca. We've got hand sanitizer because we're not touching our faces. With dirty hands. We've got a mist, we've got some eye masks, face masks, and then I've put in a clay mask and an essential oil roller. So what's going to happen is my commitment to you is when you are feeling like your skin is getting tired— oh, we're just doing a lot, it's just a little spray on the face— when you feel like your skin needs a pep up, you guys have to collectively decide, okay, it's time for our facial., then you call me. It can be any time. That is, I promise you that I will answer even if it's like bloody 3 o'clock in the morning.

27:15

Josh: Perfect.

27:15

H: And I'm gonna come in and talk you through your at-home facial and we're gonna do facial massage. We're gonna do lymphatic drainage and we're gonna just boost that.

27:24

Josh: Oh, great. Do we all need lymphatic? What's the sort of the drainage?

27:27

H: We do, because that's gonna get rid of the puffiness that you're absolutely going to have in the next little bit.

27:32

George: Yeah.

27:33

Josh: I reckon there's gonna be a lot to drain from Seb's, from the puffiness.

27:35

Mason: Oh my, it's already happening to me. To be honest. Like, it's just, anyway.

27:41

Josh: It looks like you've had fillers. Seb's, that's how.

27:44

H: It doesn't.

27:45

Josh: It really doesn't. Is that what fillers are?

27:48

Tommy: Sorry, just speaking of drainage, would you mind holding my phone for a moment?

27:53

George: Oh, okay.

27:54

Josh: Just feel free to go a little bit closer to the microphone.

27:56

H: What's happening, guys? What's going on?

27:58

Josh: That's very good. I'm trying not to, I'm holding back on energy. 'Cause I feel like if I go too hard—

28:08

H: I promised you guys I'd be on for 24 hours, but I'm like bouncing off the walls this morning. I haven't had coffee, but I'm up here. I put in the YouTube comments before, I was like, "Oh, I'm back, guys." Sneaky. That's our Mecca and Glow Journal daily talk show edit.

28:26

Josh: I love that. I've always wanted to collab with Mecca and Glow Journal. So I feel like this is—

28:32

H: And I felt that. I really, it came across. I felt it in my heart and here you are. Today's your lucky day.

28:39

Josh: Do you have any space?

28:39

Mason: Is this gonna get a tile?

28:41

Josh: Yeah, yeah. If this is a beauty collab, could we get a tile?

28:45

G: You know what?

28:47

Jess: Yeah.

28:48

Unknown: Yeah. Oh!

28:51

Mason: Mate, run the banner.

28:53

Josh: Yeah, run the banner.

28:54

H: Run the banner.

28:55

Josh: I'm so sorry.

28:57

George: He wouldn't have had it set up.

28:58

Tommy: Oh yeah, I've got it set up.

29:00

Unknown: Oh, here he is.

29:00

Josh: Just a little bit slow. Yeah, do it again.

29:02

Mason: Yeah, go for it.

29:03

Jess: Here we go.

29:04

George: Full screen.

29:04

H: And today we're launching the Mecca Cosmetica and Glow Journal Daily Talk Show Skin Edit.

29:17

George: I thought the banner was going to be for the tile, but it can be for me.

29:20

Josh: No, I'm going to—

29:22

H: I'll do a full flat lay.

29:24

Josh: Oh, this is great.

29:26

H: All right, I've got some other deliveries to get.

29:28

Josh: And just very quickly, Gem, any sort of tips? Anything that we should like— anything that you find really boring, or how can we sort of keep people interested through 24 hours?

29:38

H: I guess I'd do— keep doing what you're doing. I think the reason people like you is because you just, you know, just doing our thing, your thing.

29:45

Josh: Yeah, I appreciate it.

29:46

H: It'd be strange for you to change it up today of all days.

29:49

Josh: Okay, I'll, I'll remember.

29:52

H: Mask and the eye mask in the fridge. So then when the time comes for me to walk you through your facial, it's just going to pep you up a little bit. Oh, it's a full sensory experience. Yeah.

30:02

Josh: Could we put it in the freezer for extra cold, or is that not a good idea?

30:05

H: Absolutely not. Don't even think about it. All right, this is the best lighting I've ever sat in front of.

30:13

Josh: It's really nice, isn't it?

30:14

Mason: Yeah, it's pretty handy.

30:16

H: I also am very beautiful.

30:18

Josh: Okay, we're gonna go see—

30:20

George: we'll just quickly—

30:22

Josh: Gem, are you a physio? A fizzy water drinker?

30:26

H: I'm an everything drinker, you know this. You've served me fizzy water before.

30:30

Josh: I'm sorry, I forgot. I'm wondering, do you think it's too much to drink fizzy water all day? Like if I drink SodaStream 24 hours, do you think that that's gonna cause issues?

30:45

H: The carbonation of it, it's gonna fuck your belly up a little bit.

30:49

Josh: Okay, sure.

30:50

H: I don't want that for you.

30:51

Josh: Yeah, no, we don't want that.

30:52

Unknown: We don't—

30:53

Mason: I reckon you should just— you could just alternate, Josh. Just, just alternate with a bit of still sparkling.

30:58

Josh: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

31:00

Mason: If you could do that, I reckon you'd be sweet.

31:01

Josh: Would you go, Gem, if you were at a, um, at a restaurant and they said still or sparkling, would you go? What would you say?

31:08

H: Depends who I'm with. If I'm with Chris or with my girlfriends, I'm like, tap water. Like, I'll stick my head under the tap because I'm trash. But if I'm with like fancy clients, I'm like, "Do you have a San Pellegrino?" Have you ever had—

31:22

Josh: I had, like, this is going back a year, but I had a scenario where we'd ordered, we'd paid for the sparkling, and then a waiter that didn't know that we had sparkling filled up the glass that already had sparkling in with still water. Is that something—

31:43

Unknown: I don't think—

31:43

Josh: Would you actually mention it? I didn't mention it. I was just like, "Oh, look, I'm just going to deal with the flat," you know.

31:48

H: I wouldn't mention it.

31:50

Josh: Seems like a petty issue nowadays.

31:51

H: Am I coming on the show today or is this it for me?

31:53

Josh: No, no, no, you're definitely coming on. I actually need to get Brad Blank sorted.

31:58

H: I'm not sure how much I should be milking this.

32:00

Josh: Oh yeah, no, no, we'll get you on. But the lighting, I mean, it is very nice, so that would be one reason to do it.

32:04

H: So I sort of don't want to move. I've also, I've been like, as I went through this process, I was filming all of it, so I'm going to post it later.

32:12

Josh: Oh, so good.

32:13

Mason: Oh great.

32:14

Josh: I think TJ's loving this too. He's like, mate, I don't have to, he's getting a few minutes off. I can tell that he's, the way his hands, he's loving this.

32:21

H: This is my third Friday beauty surprise in a row. 'Cause a few weeks ago was Gab's birthday and that's when I left all that stuff at her door, like a little possum hanging off her roof. And then last week was when I climbed in Seb's window. What am I gonna do next week?

32:36

Jess: Who knows?

32:36

Josh: I don't know, I will.

32:37

H: Maybe I'll have a sleep in.

32:38

Josh: Yeah, you can just take the day off.

32:40

H: I've been up for hours.

32:41

Josh: Maybe help George. George is gonna be in trouble by then.

32:45

H: Well, George is about to get this.

32:47

Josh: Yeah, no, that's great. But, but, but by the— yeah, thanks, Jen.

32:51

H: Okay, bye.

32:52

Mason: Love you, Jen.

32:53

George: Love you.

32:54

H: See ya.

32:55

Josh: You said it when she took her headphones off. George, you didn't know— you said I love you, but she's taking her headphones off.

33:02

Mason: Yeah, well, that's okay. George said— George is on his delay, so yeah, I just said see ya.

33:08

Josh: So that's fine.

33:10

George: Um, can I read out to you guys what I've written so far?

33:13

Josh: Yeah, sure. This is to the manager of this, the surprise guest.

33:18

George: Yeah, I'm a bit stuck, so you need to help me out. I took a screenshot, so I said Tommy is in the top left, Josh is in the top right, Mason, Mr. 97, will also be in the call on the bottom right. He's the executive producer. Pete will appear in the—

33:34

Josh: Strong.

33:35

George: Yeah, how do you like about that? What do you think about that?

33:39

Josh: Very strong.

33:40

Jess: JJ.

33:41

Josh: I'm fine with it. I think it's— look, we sort of wanted him to work up to executive producer. I sort of say, mate, if you're good for the next 5 years, you'll get executive producer.

33:50

Mason: George, you're blowing the load.

33:51

Josh: If you want to do it for a bit of gear, today's the day for gear. So we can do a bit of gear.

33:55

Tommy: We can pretend that, you know, he may lose the role by the end of the day. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

34:01

Josh: Maybe, yeah, everyone starts with a role and then you lose it.

34:05

Tommy: Yeah, yeah.

34:06

Josh: And so what do you— if, um, if Sevs is executive producer, what are you, George?

34:13

George: Uh, I'm just work experience kid.

34:16

Josh: No, no, don't be a humble little fucker. That's such a George answer. I hate it. What would you do? Give yourself a title. You have to give yourself a title. This is what's going to go on your LinkedIn for a long time. Watch the Daily Talk Show. What do you want to be?

34:30

George: Daily Talk Show. Digital content producer.

34:37

Josh: I think you've underbaked it again.

34:38

Mason: Nah, you've definitely underbaked it.

34:40

Josh: I reckon, um, digital lead, senior content lead, lead digital, senior video storyteller, I think is good.

34:48

George: Senior video story—

34:50

Unknown: yeah, what do you think?

34:50

Josh: Too wanky?

34:52

George: Um, is Ramble Jr.?

34:54

Josh: Yeah, Ramble's messenger boy for now. He's working his way out. He started in the mailroom and now he's—

35:02

Mason: I mean, Crystal's saying, um, creative consultant.

35:07

Josh: Yeah, sure. It's a little bit too, um, contractor for me.

35:11

Mason: It is.

35:11

Tommy: Yeah, he's everywhere.

35:12

Mason: George is more in-house.

35:14

George: It's a bit corporate, Faka.

35:16

Josh: Yeah, which you are.

35:18

George: But, um, media lead, Ramble says.

35:23

Josh: I had so many conversations, like my old job, I've told this story, but like, I— they were like, man, the, um, titles don't matter. And I was just like, okay, well, just give it to me. I just want my title. And they end up giving me the title. And then they, they had told me like, titles don't matter. And then when it came to like a month later, they said, hey Josh, um, we've looked at the pay scale and based on your title, you actually get a pay rise. And so it doesn't matter.

35:49

George: Like, so if people tell you that, that's why you don't want SEVs to be EP.

35:52

Josh: Yeah, no, you've got to work, you know. Yeah, but, um, no, but I, I was, um, did you know, do you know about the whole nickname thing, about nicknames and, um, and so, yeah, I think you've told this.

36:05

George: Yeah, well, you think that if you sign off with a nickname, if you think, you think if you sign off with a nickname in an email, you get better clients or like higher, you get better pay.

36:15

Josh: Yeah, so like, um, there's a bunch of research that if you have a nickname you get higher salaries.

36:21

Mason: Do you remember this research? Nickname?

36:24

Josh: I just remember it because I started signing off JJ on my emails after then. After that time, it sort of stuck, you know.

36:31

George: Did it work?

36:32

Josh: I don't know. I left.

36:35

George: Yeah.

36:36

Josh: Just, you know.

36:36

George: So anyway, and then I go on to say, Tommy and Josh are business partners with an original content production company. They both have a background in filmmaking, radio, and podcasting and love to celebrate others by telling their stories. Is that okay?

36:51

Jess: Great.

36:52

Josh: Yeah, it's good.

36:53

Mason: Yeah, that's great.

36:55

George: I mean, Mason, George, if you were the boys for the last 2 years, okay, and that's all I got up to. I'm stuck.

37:03

Tommy: Um, surprisingly made it to an executive producer role after having never had a job before working, but has really grown into himself and his testosterone now far exceeds his being.

37:18

Josh: Well, you know, talking about the test, I'm excited, I'm excited, George, for at the end of the 24 hours how big 97's beard is. Like, can you imagine? This is going to be, it's going to be crazy.

37:29

G: It's going to be huge.

37:30

Josh: Yeah, we're not going to know you by the end of it. Oh, it's crazy. And so, uh, no, Georgie boy, this is good.

37:38

George: Yeah, what else do you want in there, or what do you want me to remove?

37:40

Josh: Maybe it's a little bit too rah-rah at the moment.

37:43

George: Yeah, that's what I thought.

37:45

Tommy: One-liner, rah rah.

37:46

George: I was going to say Tommy is a dad. Josh is a—

37:49

Josh: Isn't. Stay-at-home baby.

37:52

Mason: Stay-at-home baby. Full-time baby.

37:54

Josh: Yeah, full-time baby. Oh yeah, I nearly revealed who it was. I think it would be good to point out the fact that we're fans and that it's been a big part of JJ's isolation. And you can throw in TJ as well because TJ loves the person.

38:12

Tommy: Um, yeah, yeah, yeah, just have a, a casual conversation.

38:17

Josh: I just, just, yeah, I think the point is that you want to just—

38:20

George: it's less about us and just be like, so get rid of the business partner stuff.

38:25

Josh: Uh, no, you could keep it.

38:26

Tommy: Chris is still saying less is more.

38:27

Josh: Yeah, less is more.

38:28

George: What about just— I mean, you pretty much nailed it, your backgrounds.

38:31

Josh: But is there something in here, or the person, whoever it is, do we want to set up the character a little bit so it's like Yeah. What about the cool Tommy, the cool dad, the backwards cap wearing cool dad?

38:46

Mason: No, no, no, this is absolutely bad.

38:49

Tommy: And then the baldy uncle.

38:52

Josh: I think, yeah, the annoying uncle.

38:53

Tommy: No, I think you nailed it. I don't know who nailed it, George. All it needs is a couple of talking points from there and then that's it. I would be happy with that.

39:00

Josh: Crystal says send it to me. Yeah, send it to Crystal.

39:03

Mason: That's actually not a bad idea.

39:05

George: Can I actually—

39:05

Tommy: He's a wordsmith.

39:06

George: Yeah, Chris, I'll send it to you. Slack, Slack the email. Is she on Slack?

39:15

Tommy: Sorry, Mace.

39:17

Mason: No, no, I'll send it, mate.

39:19

George: It's all good. Yeah, great.

39:21

Josh: What have you been worrying about, Tommy? What was on your mind when you woke up?

39:27

Tommy: I hadn't touched base with Josh Pittman, who's coming on the show. But the best thing is it's like I've left it to the last minute here in Australia, but because the show's so long, it's actually yesterday in London. And so tomorrow he's coming on our show, but for us it's just one day. It's our day today. 24 hours is the day.

39:49

Josh: This is so—

39:49

Tommy: he's cool. It's beautiful.

39:51

Josh: It's actually beautiful research. I just had a moment where I'm like, ah, like, no, like, like if we have someone on I'll spend half an hour before they come into the studio and just look at their Instagram and see what's going on. There's none of that happening. And so, that's where I think that I guess I'm a little bit panicked is just— I think I pride myself on doing the— I do a good 30-second stalk and can just be like, how was Bateman's Bay? Looked beautiful, you know.

40:23

Tommy: No, I get you. Jess has been putting some great sort of talking points in our document. One thing I did do this morning was try and share that document, which then locked me out of the document.

40:34

Mason: Oh, hang on, so it was you. Yeah, that was you. You would, mate, you would, you would blame— you were quick to blame someone else.

40:42

Tommy: No, I didn't. I said I fucked it. Didn't I say I fucked it?

40:45

Mason: No, no, you said someone did.

40:47

Josh: Someone fucked it. Literally said the word.

40:50

Tommy: Did I?

40:51

Josh: Yeah, it's all good.

40:52

Tommy: Anyway, anyway, I did fuck it, guys. And so anyway, I I didn't want Josh to blow up too hard, so that's why I kind of just like—

41:01

Josh: No, I'm all good. I mean, the thing, that's why I'm a little bit detached. I'm trying to just sort of really go with it. This is about, this is fun. This is about having a good time with your mates. There's no point having the birthday party if you're stressed the whole time. So, you know, jump in. Relax.

41:22

Tommy: Yeah, yeah.

41:23

Mason: George, you got the email, right?

41:25

George: Yeah, thanks, man. Yeah, great.

41:26

Tommy: So there'll be a bit of admin on the show as we go. I was thinking about who's going to lose their voice first.

41:32

Josh: Oh, I don't think we have a problem at all.

41:36

Tommy: Did you hear Jase's voice after that? I mean, he did a lot longer than 24 hours, but his voice was just gone. It was full-on.

41:47

Josh: Yeah, I mean, I think we'll get some tips from him. So what I think I'll do is I really should go and sort out our first guest, Brad Blanks. And so, George, I'm going to give you my shot. Oops, hang on. Fucked it.

42:06

Jess: Oops.

42:07

Josh: Stand by.

42:08

George: And so when he comes in, like, how do we do the rotation thing?

42:13

Josh: As in, how do we— like the guest link stuff, or which—

42:16

George: Like, am I leaving the call?

42:18

Josh: Yeah, so I think, yeah, I reckon for the guest that gives you a bit of time. So, I think that we could do that where I'll— Yeah, sorry, I clicked the wrong thing. That's why I did it. Yeah, so I think for Brad, we'll just have Sev's, TJ and I, but then for some others, we can put in that big 6-blocker where we have a bunch of others as well, and then you can charge your batteries. Because we know, you know. Oh yeah, classic. You know what that's like.

42:44

Mason: Did you— are they, are they all charging at the moment, George? All four of them?

42:47

George: Well, one of them's not working. One charger's not working, but the other one's good.

42:53

Josh: Okay, I'm just—

42:53

George: yeah, my laptop wasn't turning on this morning. Freaked me out. No, have we had, um, 20 minutes to turn on?

43:01

Jess: Yeah.

43:01

Tommy: Has Ramble left the building yet?

43:05

George: No, he's still there. He's He's got a cardboard box and he's filling it up. Yeah.

43:11

Mason: What has he actually done with them? Has he wrapped them up?

43:15

George: Yeah, so he's just wrapped them up in two bits of paper because we don't have any cling wrap or anything.

43:23

Jess: Okay.

43:23

George: So he sort of wrapped them up, taped them, and now he's putting them in a cardboard box to transport.

43:30

Tommy: Looks like a dog breakfast. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

43:32

Mason: I'm so sorry. Well, I mean, they're, they're all, they're all good to go. That I sorted them by, um, the regions that he was getting them to. Um, yeah, can you, can you just let him know that he needs to get to Lara, uh, Lara first at 9 o'clock?

43:48

George: Yeah, you need to get to Lara.

43:50

Mason: She's at work.

43:52

George: Oh, she's at work.

43:53

Tommy: That's easy.

43:54

Mason: She's at work.

43:55

Tommy: Yeah, um, I guess it's the straw that nearly broke the camel's back, the merchandise run. It's, um, oh yeah, the condition— it's not the kind of thing you really want to be doing in the lead-up to a 24-hour show where last minute things you should have done, you're trying to send out merchandise. But it'll be nice that everyone gets it today. That's why I was like yesterday, I was like, is all this stuff like— surely we're needing to get it done by tomorrow. We have to. And we've had— have you got any update on that DHL order? For you, Sims?

44:28

Mason: No, no, not yet. So I mean, what, what happened was I, I called them yesterday after I missed their call. Actually, they called me, um, and it was the bloke that we, we were— we actually saw inside DHL, so that was nice. Um, yeah, but he— I had to explain the issue because I think the, um, the case manager may have miscommunicated it to him, but it's— he's, he's, he's on the case. Um, Apparently, um, might just need a follow-up, but they, they understand.

44:58

Tommy: Because what happened was there was an order that had two, that had two of the same stickers on it. But do we know that if— did both of those orders go to that one person?

45:08

Mason: Well, so this is looking into that apparently. Sure. So there's only, there's only one package that's sent with that tracking number, which means that there's actually not two separate items. So they're only seeing one package. So I don't know which one that is. Um, and I don't know if 2's gonna rock up or 1's gonna rock up or where the other parcel is. So they're doing a trace on it to figure out where they've— where they've put it and where it is. So, oh God, we'll hear back. I mean, it's a logistical nightmare for them.

45:41

Tommy: Like, why don't you ask Jasna who it was delivered to, if she's received 2? Because I think she's actually got to— she's got her order, which is— I'm pretty sure I saw her on, on Instagram. I saw her on Instagram photos coming through, unless she was responding to it.

46:01

Mason: Um, ah, could have been, could have been that. Yeah, I'll, um, I've still got a message. I've still got a message Jasnah and, um, Caitlin with a little update, but, um, it'll, it'll get sorted eventually, so it should be all right.

46:16

Tommy: Sevs, are you looking forward to a, um, meditation session?

46:20

Mason: Yeah, I mean, I haven't, I haven't done any meditation. I mean, like, I've got the notification on my phone going every morning at 6 o'clock just like telling me to meditate, and it's like I still haven't opened the Sam Harris app. And so I'm actually— I've done, I've done probably, I think I've done 2 in-person guided meditations which were great because I did it like it was part of like a co-working space thing and they were great. So I'm, yeah, I'm pumped to do it in person. It'd be so nice.

46:52

George: George, have you ever meditated? Yeah, I sort of did the Sam Harris thing, but yeah, but I think I only did like the first 5 ones, the free ones. Couldn't pay $20 a month, but I'm actually keen to, um to do it. Let's try and do something. I mean, it would be so breathing stuff.

47:11

Mason: It'll be great getting everyone just going along with it as well.

47:14

Tommy: Um, well, it's a group meditation. It'll be perfect. People on the YouTube, people around the, um, in the Zoom link around the world. It's going to be great. It's going to be real good.

47:26

Mason: So you're doing breathing?

47:27

George: 61 people watching on YouTube. It's crazy. Um, yeah, sort of just trying just while it was like while I was just lying there at 4, just like, come on, go to sleep.

47:37

Mason: So what actually— when did you get to the office? What, what time did you go?

47:42

George: Still at like 6:30, 6:40, 6:30-ish. Okay, I saw you just awake, packed my teddy, um, got my, got my duna.

47:56

Tommy: Yeah, I know, George, you hadn't worked out your, um, your alcohol situation yesterday. What are you thinking?

48:02

George: I feel so, I feel so underprepared. I haven't got food, alcohol, anything. Yeah, I don't know, like, I don't want to drink too much. Um, maybe—

48:15

Tommy: But you, you actually have an out clause, like you can go to sleep. Like you could go and get a few hours of shut-eye and then wake up.

48:24

George: Yeah, that's like—

48:24

Tommy: I'm already feeling tired.

48:27

Mason: Me too, to be honest.

48:30

George: You've already had your break when Gem came.

48:33

Tommy: Yeah, I know that was it.

48:35

George: You took your break too early.

48:37

Tommy: Yeah, I'm fired up though because there's a bunch of other stuff happening later in the show that's, that's gonna get me back up, get me back up and at it. Yeah, um, just checking in on the, uh, weather report from Beaufort where Ryan Johns can be working his 24—

48:52

Josh: work—

48:52

Tommy: walking 24 hours, uh, sorry, he's marathon. Currently 5 degrees. Ah, precipitation 60%, humidity 99%, uh, wind 26 kilometers. Yeah, oh yeah, that's— yeah, it's real raining and real windy. That is great.

49:14

Mason: And that's going to be tough. I wonder how muddy it's going to be because I, I feel like with all that rain and just the track that he's walking around, it's going to be real muddy. I think Josh doesn't I don't realise what he's done.

49:26

Unknown: Here we go.

49:27

Tommy: Josh is sending us a— he's, um, he's sending the feed of Charles, unless he's bringing Charles onto the show. Uh, I'll let Josh know.

49:38

Mason: I've just, I've just, I've just messaged him.

49:41

Tommy: Yeah, yeah, executive producer coming through. Yeah, it's all good. So Charles, if you can see him there, hungry, is an absolute weapon. And he's in Bathurst, New South Wales, and he's, he's looking—

49:56

Mason: he's actually, he's actually managing stuff. Yeah, so he's, um, all the Gronk cams, or a lot of that, he's been, um, organizing, and he's been helping JJ this morning.

50:06

Unknown: He—

50:07

Mason: I think he got up like pretty early as well next to JJ, and they're just smashing through all the tech stuff. So what a legend. And it was his birthday yesterday.

50:17

Tommy: Oh, Callum Sinclair's in the, in the live chat. Hey buddy, stay strong lads, lay off the carbs if you're going to try and stay up. Solid effort, solid advice.

50:27

Mason: Wait for the 3 PM slump.

50:29

Tommy: But I mean, I, I had some porridge. I feel like that's sort of sustained release, is it? Is it not, Callum? Is it not? We've got a dietitian, so maybe I've ruined it. Imagine if I like— imagine if her first piece of advice is don't have porridge first thing this morning. And then I've had it.

50:46

Mason: Oh, okay, this is— okay, this is, this is interesting. Just a quick little update on that tech stuff. So it's actually not being pushed over to YouTube, so it's, um, we're being pushed over, but in vMix we can see everyone. So that's all good, that's not a problem.

51:01

Tommy: Oh, that's great. Well, Charles is a— is— I'm looking at him right now even though you're not, uh, sucked in.

51:07

George: I can't see Charles anything.

51:10

Tommy: No, you're really— you've lost it.

51:11

Mason: What are you looking at?

51:12

George: No, I'm just looking at the YouTube feed, like the three of us.

51:16

Mason: Oh great.

51:17

Tommy: All right, Shannon said a good point. Can't he do it on a treadmill inside? Which it's, um, yeah, I mean, that's, that's not a— that's against the rules. I see. Like, if it— I feel, I feel like I woke up and I thought, what have I committed to? And I thought, and I was thinking, Ryan's also waking up thinking What have I committed to?

51:38

George: Yeah, I actually work out. Ryan's got the easy job.

51:42

Josh: You reckon?

51:44

Tommy: What do you think?

51:45

George: All you have to do is just walk around.

51:47

Tommy: 42 kilometers.

51:48

George: Walk around for 8 hours. Yeah, I reckon I could do it. Just listen to podcasts, be easy.

51:54

Mason: Well, we've got Tom in Vienna who's also doing it. We're going to cheque in with him at like 4 o'clock, I think, just before Friday night drinks. Um, so I mean, he's, he's also walking a marathon, which is insane.

52:08

George: He's— that is pretty impressive. But, um, is he walking?

52:12

Unknown: I mean, I would—

52:12

George: the weather—

52:14

Mason: well, I think it's what he said, he was walking, so maybe a mix. But that'll be interesting as well.

52:21

Tommy: Solid. I'm gonna cheque the temperature.

52:23

George: He just commented saying he's carb loading. Ryan's carb loading.

52:27

Mason: Ryan's carb loading. Okay, great. It's—

52:30

George: yeah, last night you went to Cabo.

52:34

Mason: Yeah, no, that's, that's a good point.

52:36

George: Have a big pasta for breakfast and then go do a 42-kilometer walk.

52:41

Mason: Absolutely. Can I have a stitch?

52:42

Tommy: So tomorrow when, when, um, when he's gonna be doing it in Vienna, yeah, it's gonna be 22 degrees with some— a little bit of rain, but it's much nicer in Austria. So he's got the better location to be doing a marathon walk.

52:58

Mason: Oh yeah, definitely.

52:59

George: Is anyone else doing any challenges?

53:02

Tommy: Um, what else?

53:04

Mason: Well, I mean, you want one, is that why you bring it up?

53:07

Josh: No.

53:08

George: Yeah, the Commitment Crew, I guess.

53:09

Mason: Yeah, the Commitment Crew, they're 24 hours. That's, that's a, that's a solid effort, to be honest.

53:15

George: That is. Glenn Grace said we should set a challenge for each other.

53:20

Mason: That's a good idea.

53:22

Tommy: What could be—

53:23

George: what do we do?

53:23

Tommy: I mean, going to cook something. Sebbs, have you actually thought about if you're going to order anything or have room service? What time does room service come down, buddy?

53:31

Mason: Rooms, uh, look, I would probably say after 9 o'clock is when mum would be up and about, just having a little sleep in. She's not—

53:42

Tommy: she's not going to sleep till 9 AM.

53:44

Mason: Well, no, well, she's— well, she's got the day off work, so she's actually taking it off just for the 24-hour stream.

53:51

George: God, really?

53:53

Mason: No, no, no, but she's— she'll, she'll be, she'll be up and about probably around 9 o'clock, I'm guessing.

54:00

Tommy: The feeling it gives me when I hear people who don't have kids say that they sleep in, like, it's like it should be like, oh, that's nice. But when you say like, yeah, I slept into like 10, it just makes me feel sick.

54:16

Jess: Like, I just—

54:18

Tommy: it makes me physically just like not angry, just sick. Like, I haven't had this real— I haven't had a sleep. Yeah, it's a weird feeling.

54:27

Josh: I'm never—

54:28

Tommy: I can't explain it, guys. I'm sure there's some parents in the comments. Do you know what I'm talking about?

54:34

Mason: Yeah, at least the same time.

54:36

Tommy: Yeah, it's envy. It's almost just like, you know, it's like, um, just this knot. Emma's got it too. It's just like you just just peace, just when you didn't have to do anything, you know? I could go for it. I could go for a while.

54:53

George: I've been waking up heaps early lately.

54:56

Mason: Really?

54:56

Josh: Have you?

54:56

Tommy: Is that trying to make me feel better now? Yeah, appreciate that.

54:59

George: What's, um, I just get—

55:00

Tommy: why have you been getting up earlier?

55:03

George: I just feel way more productive in the morning, so I wake up at 6 and, yeah, leave the house when Hannah leaves the house at 6:30. Yeah, get into the office and then get cracking because I feel if I like sleep in till 10 and then start work, I'm just like not in the mood.

55:20

Tommy: Yeah.

55:21

George: Yeah, it's like way less productive.

55:24

Tommy: Amy's been— this is her challenge. It's today's May 1st. Happy first of the month, guys.

55:28

George: Oh, it is too.

55:29

Tommy: Put it in the calendar. It's already in the calendar. The calendar is where you see it. You see the date in the calendar, George. So Definitely don't need to put the dates in the calendar because it's already in there, mate. That is great. You're, you're delusional.

55:48

Jess: Yeah.
